Metatopia
is an artificial life world. The insects mutate and can
evolve an interesting strategy to cope with rich, clumped, dispersed food
sources - metamorphosis. When plants are small and close together
(think grass), insects such as grasshoppers predominate. As plants
increase in size and become separated, butterflies and other insects with
complete metamorphosis evolve.
