How does one go about trying to reduce gun-related crime
in society? Guns and Moses is an applet in which
the user can play the role of the State or social engineer and even
God to see what effect varying about a dozen factors and sub-factors has
on homicide levels. This model shows that figuring out the way
forward is not at all simple because society is a complex system and
it shows the problems with the single-factor thinking
that so often besets the debate over guns and gun
ownership.
This applet requires Windows 98
and Java 1.4.1 or higher.
